Adi is a Sanskrit term that means primitive, starting point, beginning or pioneer on temporal scale.
Ayurveda i.e. science of life is eternal and has no beginning or end. The natural properties of all the basic elements and their combination e.g. heat of fire, fluidity of water, lightness of gases etc. have not changed from the beginning of universe and will remain constant. Therefore the turmeric which was used 5000 years ago for inflammatory condition has the same action as of today and its property has not changed. The Principles of Ayurveda are based on natural laws. One of this law states that substances which have properties similar to a particular tissue will, when taken internally increase that particular tissue in the body and vice versa e.g. ghee or animal fat will increase fat in the human body. This and other law will remain eternally true, though new substance having similar properties may be recognized and discovered in course of time. When the results of the causative factors, the manifestations, the prognosis and the treatment of the various diseases are put together, conclusion drawn and rules framed, the traditional medicine becomes the most scientific medicine.
Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest and holistic forms of medicine, developed thousands of years ago in India, emphasizing on both preventive and curative aspects of a disease. The available present treatise known as Charak Samhita (Textbook of Medicine), Sushrut Samhita (Textbook of Surgery) and Kashyap Samhita (Textbook of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology) were written 3000 to 5000 years ago, although it is difficult to pin point the exact time. Shushruta describes 125 different instruments and various operations covering Plastic surgery, Opthalmology, Gynaecology, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Intestinal surgery, Urosurgery etc.
Our aim is to provide scientific traditional guidelines as advocated by Ayurveda for maintenance and promotion of health as well as for prevention and treatment of various lifestyle diseases. We bring you the ancient secrets of living healthy and try to eliminate the causative factors in our daily routine which impacts the health and longevity. Our approach is to inculcate the dietary and lifestyle changes which can constantly maintain the balanced state of vata, pitta and kapha i.e. maintenance of homeostasis or milieu interior of the body. So as to obtain a state of optimum health of all the tissues and organs in the body as well as of the mind and enhance their quality and delay the process of aging. The medicines suggested by us are mostly plant based and in few cases herbo-mineral preparation with very high standards and GMP certified pharmacies. Therefore even in the chronic cases where the treatment goes for little longer time are relatively safe and effective with evidence based pathology and radiology reports for evaluation and personal satisfaction.

Diabetes & Harmonal disorders
The technological advancement has led to a more sedentary lifestyle. The desires and aspiring dreams in this fast-paced world has resultant into stress and depression which further deprives us to have less time to take due care of our own health. Many of us would confess that we are deprived of sleep. We eat and consume a diet that is mainly processed foods, fast foods and sugary beverages which causes hormonal disturbance and the most commonly results into Diabetes. In the first century B.C. a Greek physician, Aretus the Cappadocian, coined the term diabainein, meaning ‘a siphon’, referring to the excessive urination associated with the diabetes that we know today. The Greek word mellitus ‘like honey’ was added in 1675 that reflected the sweet smell and taste of the patients’ urine. However, the same thing was described in Ayurveda centuries before with the term Madhumeha that literally means ‘honey like urine’. The Madhumeha (Diabetes) is more of an epidemic now with a wide impact across the globe. Most of the time, early intervention and therapeutic measures can control the disease and prevent further complication. Maintaining normal body weight, engaging in regular physical activity and eating a healthy diet can significantly reduce the risk of Prameha or Madhumeha (Diabetes). At ADI AYURVEDA, we guide and teach the preventive and promotive health domain that brings the disease well under control.
Anxiety & stress
With the tough testing times these days, stress has become inevitable due to fast paced life, trending technology and social media everywhere. Stress not only slows down the normal body function but also affects the digestive system and immunity which may also lead to diabetes, blood pressure, and heart disease. When not controlled in time, it may turn into chronic anxiety, depression and other mental disorders. As per the Ayurveda principles, vitiated Vata dosha is responsible as a triggering factor for mental imbalance and increased level of stress. Hence Ayurvedic approach focuses on pacifying the aggravation of Vata to regain normal function and improving the coping capacity of the mind and body through Medhya Rasayana therapies
Weight Management
The key for healthy and active living lies in maintaining a balanced weight with respect to a person’s temperament and height. In weight management, Charaka (Ayurveda physician) has emphasized to have a lean and thin body-type rather than obese because obesity leads to more health-related complications as compared to a thin person. A sedentary lifestyle with poor eating and drinking habits causes extra weight-gains. Therefore, adaption of Ayurvedic regimen’s principals restores not only the balance but allows to maintain the optimal weight. With the blend of our herbs, diet plan (ahara), procedures and counseling help one to attain the healthy weight.
